I design and test materials for a living. My area of focus is metal alloys. I specialize in failure analysis and heat treating. Everything I do revolves around test data and strength of materials so its only natural for me to bring this concept into my hobby. I wanted to do this for my own purposes for building my own rockets. I'm just sharing my data with everyone in the hobby. If basket weaving was my hobby (yeah right!), I would be testing willow and reeds. I have graphs and reams (literally) of data but I can only host so much. If there is some data that you don't see, chances are I have it. The news group rec.models.rockets is where the discussion about the testing began, and several users there are also the people who made this project possible.
